I am privileged to have been raised in a loving, faith-filled home. I attribute my strong spiritual foundation to my father, Rev. Mr. Clifton A. Perryman, and my highly spirited nature to my mother, M. Jane Perryman.

I have grown personally, musically, spiritually, and artistically, thanks to the wisdom and careful guidance of many gurus, including Katherine Borst Jones, Lorna McGhee, Ken Wilson, Paul Metler, Linda Ressler, Clif Johnson, Laurie Atwood, Jennifer Goltz, Paul Harkins, Natasha Schaffer, Stefanie Cohen, and Lisa Tucker-Gray. I am in the process of always becoming, thanks to each one of these incredible human beings who took me under their wing at various points during my journey.

I am also grateful for the spiritual insight I’ve gained from reading and listening to brave and wise souls such as Krista Tippett, Julia Cameron, Richard Rohr, Mirabai Starr, Dawna Markova, Parker Palmer, Pablo Casals, Mary Oliver, Atul Gawande, Oriah Mountain Dreamer, C.S. Lewis, Barbara Brown Taylor, Pema Chodron, Johnathan Sacks, Ram Das, John O’Donahue, Nadia Boltz-Weber, Resmaa Menakem, Linda Thai, Bessel van der Kolk and many others – in no order of importance except the reminder of their influence on my life and perspective.

This tribute of gratitude would be woefully incomplete without acknowledging my patient, loving, amazingly supportive husband, Marc Olson, and my our five unique and wonderfully creative kids, Sam, Madeleine, Warren, Lucy, and Quinn Bugala. I am blessed.
