Therapeutic Music Presentation
Learn how music is adapted for healthcare settings
Therapeutic Music has been clinically proven to reduce pain, relieve stress and anxiety, stimulate the immune system and relaxation response, and promote a feeling of well-being and peace. Learn how music is adapted to meet the needs of patients with a variety of medical conditions, as well as the distinctions between Therapeutic Music and Music Therapy. Emily will play her Celtic harp and/or alto flute to demonstrate how Therapeutic Music can create a healing environment in a hospital, hospice, or other healthcare settings. Emily is a Certified Music Practitioner with training from the Music for Healing & Transition Program (www.mhtp.org) and accredited by the National Standards Board for Therapeutic Musicians. Cost is $200 per presentation for up to 1 hour. Payment may be made with cash, checks made payable to “Emily Olson,” Venmo, and CashApp. Travel included within a 20-mile radius of Dexter, MI. An additional $50 travel stipend applied to farther locations up to 50 miles from Dexter, MI.
