Service Description

Therapeutic Music has been clinically proven to reduce pain, relieve stress and anxiety, stimulate the immune system and relaxation response, and promote a feeling of well-being and peace. Learn how music is adapted to meet the needs of patients with a variety of medical conditions, as well as the distinctions between Therapeutic Music and Music Therapy. Emily will play her Celtic harp and/or alto flute to demonstrate how Therapeutic Music can create a healing environment in a hospital, hospice, or other healthcare settings. Emily is a Certified Music Practitioner with training from the Music for Healing & Transition Program ( and accredited by the National Standards Board for Therapeutic Musicians. Cost is $200 per presentation for up to 1 hour. Payment may be made with cash, checks made payable to “Emily Olson,” Venmo, and CashApp. Travel included within a 20-mile radius of Dexter, MI. An additional $50 travel stipend applied to farther locations up to 50 miles from Dexter, MI.
